Hanwell Town 2-0 Tiverton Town

As the sun lit up the pitch, silence fell in memoriam down at Perivale Lane, to commend the heroes of World War one and two.

The game passed by both teams in the first half, with the only real effort of note coming from a Dan Carr free kick saved by Tiverton’s Zak Baker.

Hanwell still appeared to have the 0-4 loss to Taunton in the forefront of their minds, nonetheless the second half started superbly and appeared to begin to rectify that loss.

In minute 55, Harry Seabrook's freekickwas fired in from the left-hand side of the halfway line; to find the head of Callum Woodcock, whose effort passed by Baker, who misjudged the ball that bounced in off the bottom right post, leaving Hanwell 1-0 up.

The Yellows couldn't find a response despite coming close with a close-range header that flashed over Gabriel Billington. The home side resumed control on the game and proceeded to pile on the pressure in search of an elusive second goal, Alfie Pendlebury the closest to getting that goal until minute 90, when Daniel Carr’s corner was met by substitute Gianni Crichlow who’s shot ricocheted to the back post where it was bundled home by centre-back Dwayne Duncan.

The Geordies moved up to 12thin the table whileTiverton’s misery continued as theysit bottom on justsevenpoints.
